Our story
Built by a dad for the nightly dinner question.
Do-Re-Ci-Pe started in a family kitchen, where the problem was rarely cooking. It was deciding what to make while four children waited for an answer.
The fridge stare
Cooking was not the problem. Deciding was.
Open the fridge. Close it. Search for recipes. Discover that every recipe needs three things you do not have. Consider takeaway. Repeat tomorrow.
Do-Re-Ci-Pe was built to interrupt that loop. Tell it what you have, who you’re feeding and what sounds good. It helps you talk through the possibilities and turn them into a recipe.
The name comes from the same place. When we sing, we begin with do re mi. When we cook, we begin with Do-Re-Ci-Pe: a small rhythm that makes starting easier.
